If you live in Hellertown borough and have accumulated unwanted “e-junk,” or are planning to do some spring cleaning, you’ll want to mark your calendar for an upcoming electronics recycling event.

According to a promotional flyer, items that can be recycled for free include printers, keyboards, mice, cables, cords, laptops, tablets, UPS battery backups, cell phones, DVD players, VCRs, gaming systems, microwaves, small appliances, water heaters, exercise equipment, sealed lead acid car batteries, filing cabinets, metal items, grills, lawn mowers (if drained of all fluids), ink cartridges, chargers, telephones, calculators, adding machines and desktop computers, although there is a $20 fee for recycling monitors.
