HARRISBURG, Pa. (Diya TV) — Swatara Township Police are asking for the public’s help locating Susristika Siwakoti, a 15-year-old who left her residence in the 400 block of Lavenda Court on Feb. 18, 2026, according to a missing juvenile alert posted by the department.
Police describe Siwakoti as approximately 4 feet 8 inches tall and 120 pounds, and say they believe she may have traveled to the Kansas City, Missouri area, a detail that immediately turns what might otherwise be a local search into a cross-state effort that depends on fast information-sharing and timely tips.
Swatara Township Police have not publicly released additional details about clothing, companions, vehicle information, or a confirmed direction of travel. Their alert asks anyone with information to contact Det. Pat Corkle at 717-564-2550, call 911, or submit a tip through the department’s CRIMEWATCH page. The reference incident number listed is 26-0002211.
When law enforcement publicly names a potential destination hundreds of miles away, it can reflect a lead investigators consider credible, even if the underlying basis is not disclosed. In cases involving potential interstate movement, coordination between jurisdictions can affect how quickly digital evidence is preserved, how quickly relevant agencies are looped in, and how quickly actionable tips are routed to the right investigators.
A community appeal circulating within Nepali, Bhutanese, South Asian and broader networks urges residents in Dauphin County/Harrisburg and the Kansas City region to stay alert and report any credible information directly to police. The appeal also claims the family is concerned because someone else may be using her phone, and messages are being sent suggesting she “doesn’t want to talk.” (Diya TV has not verified those claims independently, and police have not included those details in their public alert.)
Pennsylvania’s AMBER Alert program is designed for confirmed child abductions where law enforcement believes the child is in imminent danger of death or serious bodily injury, and the state notes the plan is limited to abductions, not cases believed to involve runaways.
At the national level, the U.S. Department of Justice similarly emphasizes that AMBER plans require law enforcement to confirm an abduction before issuing an alert.
Separately, Pennsylvania also operates a Missing Endangered Person Advisory (MEPA) framework for missing individuals believed to be at special risk of harm or injury. Missouri has an Endangered Person Advisory process as well, used when a case does not meet AMBER criteria.
