SCRANTON, Pa. (WBNG) — A North American airline announced a new flight route to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport (AVP).
Breeze Airways, a premium leisure carrier that provides affordable, direct flights, reported about the nonstop route on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
Starting on July 1, the airline will provide service on Wednesdays and Saturdays for the new route, starting at $79 for a one-way flight.
The addition of the FLL stop is part of a route extension announcement, which includes more than 12 destinations according to Breeze Airways’ Facebook post.
According to the Airline Passenger Experience Association, Breeze Airways was named the Best Major Airline in North America, as well as the No. 3 Best Domestic Airline by Travel + Leisure in 2025.
The airline is known for its flexible network that directly and conveniently connects travelers to underserved cities nationwide, making air travel more accessible to millions of travelers, coast to coast.
