HERSHEY, PA (Amazing America) — There’s a reason they call it “The Sweetest Place on Earth.” A Trip to Hersheypark can take the chill off even the most wicked of winters.

Amazing America’s Evan Mack heads inside for a sweet retreat.

The fictional chocolatier Willy Wonka perhaps said it best: “If you want to view paradise, simply look around you and view it…” Well, that’s exactly what you can do in the place that chocolate built.

Hersheypark, a 121-acre amusement park in Hershey, Pennsylvania, is known as a summer travel destination with its 15 roller coasters and chocolate-themed rides. Hershey Chocolate founder Milton S. Hershey opened it in 1906, and every year, around 3 million people flock to the park to immerse themselves in all things chocolate.

And while the rides close for the winter, there is still plenty to do, including a trip to Chococolate World to learn how America’s most iconic candy is made. You can even make your own and learn the history of the legendary Made-in-America brand at the Hershey Story Museum.

If you know a place where the locals gather and connect, we’d love to hear about it. Send a DM to @amazingamericatv on Instagram!
