Police are searching for an alleged arsonist in Monroe County.Pocono Mountain Regional Police say they responded to the 600 block of Uncas Lane in Pocono Pine for a fire on Monday around 6 p.m.They say the fire started in one unit and spread to three other connecting units.A witness on scene said they saw the owner of the townhouse, 36-year-old Sean McDermott of Pocono Pines, setting small fires throughout the day inside the residence. McDermott told the witness he needed to “kill the spiders.”The witness kept putting out the fires, but McDermott kept lighting them. McDermott and the witness eventually both left the home and went their separate ways. However, they both arrived home to find it in flames. Police say McDermott fled the scene and is now wanted for arson and other related charges.
