HANOVER TWP., Pa. – A large piece of metal became lodged under a Route 22 overpass Tuesday afternoon after a dump truck with an oversized load struck the bridge.
The Colonial Regional Police Dept. says PennDOT and emergency crews were on scene inspecting the bridge’s integrity and successfully cleared the debris at about 2:26 p.m. Tuesday.

Route 512 was closed to all southbound traffic at the Route 22 underpass in Hanover Township but reopened once the debris was cleared.
Nobody was injured, and no vehicles were damaged from striking the metal, dispatchers said.
