As icicles melt and arctic blasts become a distant memory, plans are underway for a fun (and delicious!) spring event to benefit Scranton Tomorrow.
A Toast to Tomorrow will be held on Thursday, March 26, at 6 p.m. at The Colonnade, 401 Jefferson Ave., Scranton. Sip, swirl and savor the best of the Electric City at this premium wine event in a beautiful historic setting. The event features Fred Magnotta Wine, food pairings by The Colonnade and POSH Events, a wine pull, basket raffle and more. Guests must be age 21 or older. Tickets are $45 per person. Let’s keep the momentum rolling!
Proceeds from A Toast to Tomorrow will support Scranton Tomorrow’s ongoing revitalization efforts in the Downtown Business District, including:
Safe, Clean & Green Programs: Downtown has never looked better thanks to our Safe, Clean & Green team! The Downtown Ambassadors provide on-street cleaning, general maintenance, and hospitality services Monday through Friday in the downtown business district. In addition, our sponsors, partners and volunteers come together regularly to bring our outdoor projects to life. Plantings, clean-ups and environmental stewardship programs truly make a difference in our city.
Business Development Initiatives: Dedicated to creating a downtown brand, we develop marketing and public relations programs and collaborate with business owners to organize community events. Block Parties, Downtown Shop Arounds, Restaurant Week, holiday programs, and annual favorites such as Downtown on Ice generate foot traffic into local businesses and showcase all the amenities our downtown has to offer. We actively support our small business community by maintaining a strong digital presence and helping business owners identify grant and funding opportunities. We also serve as a liaison between business owners and public officials, and host quarterly business development meetings to foster collaboration and growth.
Design Programs: Signature projects spearheaded by our Design team include transforming a vacant lot into a downtown pocket park and developing a thriving Mural Arts Program. Initiatives like these celebrate our history, bolster tourism, generate traffic into local businesses, and enrich our community.

These are just a few ways we strive to make Scranton the economic center of Northeastern PA and continue to improve the quality of life for all those who live and work in the city we love. We hope you will join us on March 26 in support of these programs and more, as we Toast to Tomorrow with all of you!
