LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion shared details on crimes that have occurred recently in the township.

These incidents occurred between Feb. 9 and Feb. 24.

Feb. 24

Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) – The registration plate to the victim’s Jeep was stolen from the victim’s vehicle sometime in the past few days while parked in the parking lot of the victim’s apartment complex. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) – The victim’s Kia was stolen from the parking lot of the victim’s office complex during the daytime hours. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Feb. 22

Burglary (Bala Cynwyd) – An actor was observed breaking into an apartment complex using a sharp tool during the early morning hours and fled in an unknown direction. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Theft from Vehicle (Merion Station) – The victim observed an actor attempting to enter their vehicles parked at the rear of the victim’s residence, in their driveway. When confronted, the actor threatened the victim, and the actor was taken into custody upon the arrival of officers. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Feb. 21

Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim reported that an actor was observed walking up their driveway and attempting to enter vehicles parked within their driveway. The actor was located by officers upon arrival and taken into custody. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Feb. 20

Theft from Vehicle (Wynnewood) – The victim observed an actor attempting to enter their vehicle during the early morning hours. The actor fled in an unknown direction. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Theft of Vehicle (Wynnewood) – The victim’s Audi was stolen from the driveway of the victim’s residence during the overnight hours. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Feb. 19

Theft of Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim’s Tesla was stolen from where it was parked along the street in front of the victim’s residence during the early morning hours. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim’s Chrysler had the rear driver’s side window broken out, and the interior of the vehicle was gone through while parked in the parking lot of a local restaurant. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Feb. 18

Theft of Vehicle (Merion Station) – The victim’s Honda was stolen from where it was parked along the street sometime during the afternoon. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Feb. 17

Theft of Vehicle (Penn Valley) – The victim’s Honda was stolen overnight from where it was parked along the street in front of the victim’s residence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Feb. 16

Burglary/Theft of Vehicle (Bryn Mawr) – The victim’s residence was entered during the overnight hours, and the keys to two vehicles were removed from the office of the residence. The victim’s Porsche was then stolen from the garage of the residence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Feb. 12

Theft of Package (Haverford) – The victim had a package removed from their mailbox during the overnight hours. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Feb. 11

Theft of Packages (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim had multiple packages stolen from the front porch of the victim’s residence during the late afternoon hours. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Feb. 10

Theft from Vehicle (Gladwyne) – The victim’s BMW had the driver’s side front window broken out, and their purse was stolen from the front passenger seat of their vehicle while at a local park. The investigation into the incident is continuing.

Feb. 9

Theft (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim had their wallet and keys stolen from an unsecured locker at a local fitness center while working out. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
