What makes this a gem 💎: When I think about traveling for work as an artist, it usually includes making a ton of logistical plans for my materials, transportation, my day-to-day work schedule to finish a project, and sometimes an open-ended timeline on how long I’m in town. Besides it being time consuming, it can also leave room for a bit of anxiety when it comes to where to stay and how comfortable I’ll be there. The Garfield is special because it takes the pressure off of the lodging *and* it does it in a way that prioritizes the artist’s well-being (including coziness!). How could you not be inspired by a private space, an intentionally curated garden, local arts galore, and a perfect set of vinyls ready for spinning? I’ll wait!
