Road crews are making midweek changes in a couple of projects starting Thursday. Here’s what to expect:
Interstate 79 – The southbound on-ramp from Route 910 to the interstate will be reduced to one lane on weekdays beginning Thursday and lasting until Oct. 31. Additionally, one of the two turning lanes from westbound Route 910 to the southbound ramp will be closed. Crews will work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily to relocate utilities. The work is part of a $46.5 million project to reconstruct the interchange and move the northbound entrance and exit ramps 1,000 feet to the west, adjacent to the southbound ramps.
Center Street – Crews will be paving Center and Main streets in East Pittsburgh and North Braddock from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday. The work will lead to single-lane alternating traffic between Route 30 and Main Street on Center and between Center and Bowers streets on Main.
Parkway East – Inspection work on the outbound exit ramp at Forbes Avenue/Oakland will cause a traffic shift from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. The ramp will remain open during the work.
