HELLERTOWN, Pa. – Police in a Northampton County borough are accusing two people of stealing more than $20,000 from two convenience stores on New Year’s Day.

Damion M. Christian, 18, and Michael A. Pritt, 38, both of Wynnewood, face several charges, including burglary and theft, the Hellertown Police Department said in a news release Thursday.

Police said the two stole from the Top Star Express and plaza Sunoco stores, both of which are in Hellertown.

More than $20,000 worth of items were taken, and both commercial store fronts were damaged, borough police said.

Borough police said similar burglaries also happened in Montgomery Township, Montgomery County, and East Whiteland Township in Chester County.

Police issued arrest warrants for Christian and Pritt on Jan. 20.

Police say Pritt remains at large, while Christian is expected to surrender to police early next week.
