ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Allentown Animal Care held their ribbon cutting and open house on Saturday.

They opened their new facility on Walbert Avenue, and went through a bit of a name change!

They previously operated under Allentown Animal Clinic, but workers say they changed it to “care” to show they care about you and your pets.

A new expanded facility will allowed the center to provide better care for animals.

“We do ultrasounds on site, which is an integral part of working with a lot of sick animals. We do surgery of site too, and we are continuing to care for all pets: furred, feathered and scaly,” said Dr. Elena Dawickij, lead veterinarian of Allentown Animal Care.

A pet caricaturist and a stuffed animal adoption program where part of the open house festivities.

Vets say they look forward to continuing to care for pets around the Lehigh Valley.
