Man arrested for burglarizing homes of deceased individuals in Berks County | Reading Area

READING, Pa. – A Berks County man is now charged after allegedly preying on people who just died.

Derrick Raker, 39, of Reading, is accused of regularly searching obituaries and addresses of deceased people and then burglarizing their homes.

Police saying he took valuables and many firearms from homes around Berks County.

Police now asking that if you believe a deceased relative was a victim to contact police.
