As March approaches, the Pittsburgh Soccer calendar is going to start to get busier — or will it?

Below we share complete March schedule for Riverhounds, Steel City FC (USLL2) and the Division I college programs as they enter Spring seasons.

The news on Friday that USLPA has authorized players to strike, if a new collective bargaining agreement is not reached by the start of the regular season will loom over the next week and potentially into March.  Hopefully, for the sake of players and the fans, they will be able to reach a deal and get a good deal worked out, as negotiations have been dragging on even well before the CBA expired on December 31.  All of this has been reported and well-documented here on Pittsburgh Soccer Now.

This weekend also will see a return home for Pittsburgh indoor club, Bridge City FC, as they begin a three-match homestand against Rockford.  Look in the coming weeks as we plan to have on-site coverage as BCFC look to finish strong in its first season in Major League Indoor Soccer.

If you are looking for some soccer entertainment before the Riverhounds season gets going, Bridge City matches have provided plenty of scoring and dramatics.

Two weeks ago, Bridge City edged Rockford in an overtime thriller, winning 7–6 off a dramatic game-winner from Austin Rocke.

At 4W-4L-0D on the season, Bridge City is right in the thick of the playoff race in a tough Northern Conference. Every point matters from here on out, and Saturday night could have major postseason implications.

Bridge City continues to be led offensively by:

Jack Shearer – 18 points
Nathan Dragisich – 16 points
Jamie Luchini – 12 points
Josh Dimatteo – 10 points
