OBITUARY
Walter R. Rosiecki, Jr., 76, of Jefferson Township, died on Monday, surrounded by his loved ones, at Lankenau Medical Center in Ardmore, PA. He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Robin L. Mayeski.
Born on May 2, 1949, in Scranton, Walter was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Staleny) Rosiecki. He attended the University of Scranton and was the longtime manager of Rosiecki Pharmacy in Peckville, where he worked for 27 years. Prior to his retirement, he was also employed as a clerk by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for 21 years.
In addition to his wife, Walter is survived by his son, Walter C. Rosiecki, and his wife Melissa, of Clarks Summit; his stepchildren, Mikie Mayeski of Jefferson Township, and Lindsay M. Croom and her husband John Croom III of Moscow. He is also survived by his siblings: Michael Rosiecki and his wife Carol, Robert Rosiecki and his wife Ann Marie, both of Clarks Summit; Marilyn Jones and her husband Eric of Archbald; and Mark Rosiecki and his wife Karen of Dickson City.
Walter was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Nicholas, Samuel, and Abigail Rosiecki, and John IV and James Croom. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Walter had a passion for travel and loved spending time with his family. Whether relaxing at the beach, taking cruises, visiting Disney World, or enjoying trips to Lancaster, he always looked forward to the next adventure. Holidays were his favorite time of the year where he spent quality time with family and friends. He especially cherished time with his grandchildren attending soccer games, playing together, and celebrating special events. They were truly the light of his life.
A devoted Hallmark Channel fan, Walter could often be found watching Christmas movies year-round with his beloved cat, Cuddles. He shared a particularly close bond with his stepson Mikie, proudly supporting him at events with The Arc, Night to Shine, and many other activities.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Lankenau Medical Center for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Duffy & Snowdon Funeral Home, 401 Church Street, Moscow, PA, with Pastor Donald Gilchrist officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
