The foundation announced the election of new officers for its board of directors. Ann Rink will serve as president, Carl Witkowski III as vice president, attorney Lori Barrett as treasurer and Sister Cor Immaculatum Heffernan, I.H.M., as recording secretary. In addition, the board welcomed attorney John Hanrahan as a new board member.

Rink is a lifelong collaborator with the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, educated at IHM schools and inspired by their mission of service. A graduate of Marywood University, she devoted 43 years to St. Joseph’s Center, rising from early intervention teacher to administrator of community services and leading major program growth for children and adults with disabilities. Widely recognized for her leadership and service, Rink remains active in community organizations. She has worked with the foundation board for several years, playing major roles in organizing the annual Sisters Celebration event.

Witkowski brings more than two decades of leadership experience in financial services, insurance and business development. He currently serves as partner and chief relationship officer at Group Capital LLC and Presidio Insurance LLC, where he leads sales and client service operations across multiple states. Witkowski has a strong record of community service and board leadership, including roles with the Greater Pittston YMCA, Wyoming Valley Montessori School, and several regional arts and educational organizations.

Barrett is assistant vice president and trust officer at Fidelity Bank Wealth Management in Dunmore, where she specializes in investment account administration, retirement planning, and trusts and estates. She brings 25 years of legal experience from private practice and holds degrees from Rutgers University and Seton Hall University School of Law. Barrett is active in professional and community service, serving as president of the board of the Lackawanna County Bar Association and as a board member of the Lackawanna County Industrial Development Authority. She also volunteers with Friends of the Poor and Lackawanna Pro Bono.

Sister Cor Immaculatum is a retired professor of art at Marywood University, where she served the Department of Art for 30 years and chaired the graduate and undergraduate programs for 14 years. She holds advanced degrees in fine arts and counseling from Syracuse University, the University of Notre Dame and Marywood University. Since retiring from full-time teaching, Sister Cor Immaculatum has stayed active. She remains engaged in creative art and is noted for the many beautiful life-size bronze sculptures she has created. She happily serves the foundation board, her congregation and the mission of the IHM Sisters.

A senior attorney with Brock & Scott PLLC, Hanrahan’s law career spans more than three decades. He has led his own practice, served as partner and associate in multiple firms, and argued cases before the Maryland and District of Columbia courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He is deeply committed to community service, having chaired the Delaplaine Arts Center and St. John Regional Catholic School boards and contributed to numerous local and educational organizations.
