OBITUARY

Andrea Mancus, 88, of Scott Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Andrea was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Mancus, who passed away on November 20, 2023. She also endured the heartbreaking loss of her cherished daughter, Nikki Latimer. We find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her husband and her beloved daughter.

Born in Peckville, Pennsylvania, Andrea was the daughter of the late Andrew and Agnes Moncak. Andrea was the heart of her family. A woman of dignity and grace, known for her exquisite taste and timeless sense of fashion. She was happiest in the kitchen, preparing delicious meals and bringing everyone together around the table. An avid reader and former seamstress, she found joy in books and took great pride in creating beautiful pieces with her talented hands. She loved tending to her garden and spent many happy hours outdoors, taking pride in the beauty she created around her home. The house she and her husband built together was especially dear to her it was more than just a home; it was a place filled with love, hard work, cherished memories, and the laughter of family gathered through the years.

She also cherished traveling with her daughters and adored every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandson.

Her faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses was an important part of her life. Her spirituality and the friendships she built within her faith community were among her greatest comforts and joys.

Andrea is survived by her daughters, Lisa Mancus and Michele Mancus and her partner, Jeff Nichols; her sister, Elaine Wallis; her grandchildren, Christopher Betti and his wife, Ginger Betti; Anthony Esgro; Nicholas Esgro and his partner, Taryn Emmett; Giana Prewitt and her husband, Josh Prewitt; Elijah Latimer; and Grayson Latimer; and her great-grandson, Waylon Prewitt.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Carbondale Nursing Home and Sacred Heart Hospice for the compassionate and excellent care they provided to our mother.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Louis M. Margotta Funeral Home, Jessup.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and her memory will remain forever in our hearts.
