A 39-year-old woman died from injuries suffered in a crash in Greenfield Twp. on Thursday afternoon, according to Lackawanna County Coroner Timothy D. Rowland.
Courtney McCarthy, 39, of Greenfield Twp., died from multiple traumatic injuries. Her death was ruled as accidental, Rowland said.
At about 3:15, crews were called to 551 Route 247 for a rollover crash, with possible ejection, near Leo’s Garage.
Rowland said the driver lost control of her vehicle and it left the roadway and overturned. She was ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency medical services attempted resuscitation at the scene, where she later died from the injuries, Rowland said.
