OBITUARY

Bonnylin “Bonny” Taylor, 93, of Peckville, died Friday at Mid Valley Health Care Center, Peckville. She was the wife of Thomas G. “Bud” Taylor Sr. who died March 30, 2021.

Born in Peckville, daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorcas Matthews VanWert. She was a graduate of Blakely High School and a devoted member of the Peckville United Methodist Church. She was active in all aspects of the life of the church. She served as a choir director for over 60 years and was a Lay Member of Wyoming Annual Conference for 58 years. She also served on various Conference Committees, Equitable Compensation, Sessions, and Nominations, District Committees, District Committee of Ordained Ministry and was District Youth Choir Director for many years. She was always ready to lend a hand – whether baking Welch cookies or serving countless roast beef dinners for church fundraisers. She worked for many years at Taylor’s Flower Shop, Peckville. She was a honorary member of the Wilson Fire Company, Peckville and was a member and past president of the former Wilson Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She found great joy in traveling and camping, and especially enjoyed the annual month-long stays each winter in Bradenton Beach, Florida. Above all, she treasured her family, delighting in every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness and was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas G. Taylor Jr. and wife, Beth; and Kenneth G. Taylor and wife, Kathy; three grandchildren, Thomas W. Taylor and wife, Stephanie; Sarah Conlon and husband, Mike; and Kendra Daley and husband, Jason; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Liam and Kennedy; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, George VanWert and a nephew, James VanWert.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Peckville United Methodist Church, with services by the Rev. David Repenning. Interment, Prospect Hill Cemetery, Peckville.
