Spring is almost officially here and as we say goodbye to the frigid cold, we welcome warmer weather and as much music as humanly possible.
This month is not short on options. From Green Day cover band Paper Lanterns and Johnny Cash tribute Church of Cash, to the original singer of Skid Row, Sebastian Bach and the swinging sounds of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, finding yourself at a local music venue will only be natural.

Paper Lanterns (Green Day tribute band)

Meet the band: The NY/NJ-based Green Day tribute band Paper Lanterns takes on the hits that span the group’s 40-year career. From the pop-punk chart toppers that broke them into the mainstream off “Dookie,” to songs from the punk rock opera “American Idiot,” and all the way up to 2024’s “Saviors,” Paper Lanterns brings all the fan-favorites to the stage.

Red Hot Chilli Pipers

Meet the band: An eight-piece ensemble from Scotland consisting of pipers, guitarists, keyboardists and drummers, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers formed in 2002 to bring “bagrock” to the masses (as the name of their album, “Bagrock to the Masses,” implies). They were the winners of the BBC One show “When Will I Be Famous” in 2007 and started selling out shows across Scotland and Germany less than a year later. The band fuses rock and pop hits with traditional Scottish music putting their own twists on well-known classics.

Meet the artist: Rod Stewart has sold over 120 million records worldwide making him one of the best-selling music artists in history. He got his start in the ‘60s with bands like the Jeff Beck Group and Faces, and released his first solo album in 1969. In 1971 his third solo album, “Every Picture Tells a Story,” topped the charts in the U.S., UK, Canada and Australia, propelled by the single, “Maggie May.” From there, and throughout the ‘70s, he released hit after hit. In 1994 he was inducted into the U.S. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 2006 the UK Music Hall of Fame. In the UK he’s had 10 No. 1 records and 31 top 10 singles, and in the U.S. he’s had 16 top 10 hits.

Meet the band: If hairspray, keytars, arena rock and shoulder pads are your idea of a good time, then “The Galaxy’s Most Excellent ‘80s Tribute Band,” Rubix Kube, has quite the night out planned for you. For nearly 20 years the group has stormed stages clad in tubular ‘80s style, belting out the the tracks that made MTV a household name over 40 years ago.

Meet the artist: Best known as the lead singer of ‘80s glam metal behemoths Skid Row (from 1987-1996), Sebastian Bach has continued to release solo records, tour and stay busy. He’s managed to become the first heavy metal singer on Broadway, appearing in “Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical,” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” and Jesus Christ Superstar.” He’s also taken on television roles, including “Trailer Park Boys,” “Robot Chicken,” “Spongebob Squarepants,” “The Masked Singer,” “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Gilmore Girls.” He’s sold millions of records and came in at No. 1 on a list of top 15 hair metal singers by Ultimate Classic Rock in 2025.

Meet the band: Keeping the legacy of “The Sentimental Gentleman of Swing” Tommy Dorsey alive, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is still revered as one of the best all-around dance bands to hit a stage. From big swing dance tunes to melancholic ballads, Dorsey was a master of his art.

Meet the band: For over three decades The Electric Farm has serenaded audiences with their personal brand of spaced out folk pop. Some of the band’s accolades include their self-titled third album being the most-played CD from a local artist on Lehigh Valley’s NPR Station, WDIY, their song “Man of the Town” appearing on the Philadelphia Phast Pholks CD compilation from Fast Folk Magazine, and various tracks appearing in television and film including in “Drive,” “Criminal Minds,” “The Fall Guy,” “One Tree Hill” and” Drive me Crazy.” They’ve opened for artists like The SunRa Arkestra, Strawbs, Badfinger, Dave Mason, Railroad Earth and John Gorka. They currently have four studio albums available — “Unglued,” “The Electric Farm,” “Boomschlang Viper Story” and “Six.”
