BETHLEHEM – Charleen Griffeth Carey, 80, Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, surrounded by her loving family, at the farm that she spent her entire life on.

Mrs. Carey was the owner of Charleen’s Auto Trim for over 50 years where she had a talent for providing superior automobile upholstery for people all across the southeastern United States. She loved attending car shows and was a member of the Studebaker Club.

Charleen was an avid gardener that enjoyed working in the soil and growing flowers. She was a devoted member of Bethlehem First United Methodist Church for 68 years.

Charleen was preceded in death by her parents, William Carl “Jack” Griffeth and Elizabeth Smith Griffeth; and siblings, Johnnie McKissick and Billy Jack Griffeth.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Billy Ray Carey, Bethlehem; step-daughters, Debbie (Clyde) Andrews, Snellville, and Susan (David) Parker, Palm Bay, Florida; siblings, Peggy (Tommy) Baggett, Bethlehem, and Marveen (Kevin) Brown-Mathis, Monroe; four step-grandchildren, Ashley DeLaurier, Loganville, Dylan Hinds, Covington, Brad Parker, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Kayla Parker, Melbourne, Florida; six great-grandchildren; two nieces, Debbie Eason, Bethlehem, Marla Nelson, Bethlehem; and one nephew, William Joel Brown, Cleveland.

Graveside service: Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at Bethlehem First United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Bernat officiating.

Family to receive friends: Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Maddox Memorial Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Mrs. Carey to Bethlehem First United Methodist Church, 709 Christmas Ave., Bethlehem, Georgia 30620.
