Governor Shapiro and other state leaders– taking new steps to protect residents – especially children – from potential dangers tied to artificial intelligence. During a roundtable discussion in western Pennsylvania today – the governor announced several new initiatives focused on A-i safety and consumer protection– including a new task force.
Shapiro stated:
We recognize that AI is here. We recognize that it can be transformational in so many good ways but we also understand that is has a lot of risks. And right now, our children are bearing a lot of those risks. And right as your governor and as a father of four who sees it with our own four children. So it’s important we get this right.
