WASHINGTON, Pa. —

An excavator fell into a hole during demolition of the Courthouse Square building in the city of Washington on Tuesday morning, emergency dispatchers said.

A county spokesperson said the operator of the excavator was checked out at the scene and did not go to the hospital.
