The Erie VA Medical Center will begin infrastructure upgrades. The projects are a part of the $4.8 billion in nationwide VA spending utilized to modernize, repair, and improve department health care facilities through the Veterans Health Administration’s Non-Recurring Maintenance program.
Erie VA improvement projects for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026 are:
Sterile Processing Services (SPS) clean steam utility and water piping replacement
Renovate Distribution Center Cleanroom Storage
Expand Emergency Power Generation Phase 3 (EEPG III)
Expand Parking Lot A
“Erie VA Medical Center will utilize these funds to upgrade facilities, modernize equipment, and improve infrastructure, which will enhance the extraordinary care and services we provide for Veterans,” said Erie VA Medical Center Associate Director of Patient Care Services Dorene Sommers. “These projects are crucial in sustaining our commitment to continually fulfill our mission.”
