A barricade situation unfolded in North Philadelphia on Tuesday night after a man walked into the hospital with a gunshot wound, police said.
The 56-year-old man, who walked into the ER at around 8:49 p.m., told officials the shooting took place at the 2600 block of North Franklin Street, police said.
He was shot in the abdomen and leg and is expected to survive, police said.
When police arrived at the home in North Philadelphia, they said they detected activity inside and a barricade was declared at 9:15 p.m.
However, SWAT arrived and determined at 10:14 p.m. that the suspect was not inside the home, police said.
The suspect remains on the run, however, police said that they know who the suspect is and they are in the process of getting a warrant for their arrest.
Police have not named the suspect publicly yet.
