ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A juvenile is facing serious charges after allegedly making a bomb threat against an Allentown middle school.
Just before noon today, officers from Allentown Police Department responded to Trexler Middle School for a report of a bomb threat.
Police, along with the Allentown Fire Department, conducted a sweep of the school
using a police canine team trained to detect explosive devices.
Following an extensive search of the building and grounds, police say no suspicious packages were located.
The investigation determined the bomb threat to be a hoax, and a juvenile male student was identified as the suspect who made the threat.
He was taken into custody without incident and charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
