Helen T. Nachurski
OBITUARY
Helen T. Nachurski, 97, of Reading, passed away February 28, 2026. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Michael and Susan (Stoyak) Yesenochin. Helen was the loving spouse of Edmund J. Nachurski, with whom she shared 40 years of marriage until his passing in 1991.
Helen was a 1946 graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School. Following high school, she worked for Zipf’s Candies, Luden’s Candy, and Windsor Apparel.
She was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, where she participated in several parish societies and organizations. She especially enjoyed making pierogies for the church bazaars.
Surviving are her daughters, Ann L. Nachurski and Carol Nachurski, both of Reading.
Helen was predeceased by her siblings: Florence Glowacki, Mary McCurry, and Frank Yesenochin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11AM at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 248 South 12th Street, Reading. Family and friends will be received from 9:30-11AM at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Reading.
