A military helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing Wednesday in a field in Robeson Township.

Reports came in about 1:15 p.m. of an Army helicopter landing in a field behind the 100 block of Moyer Road due to a fire on board.

Two people were on board and evacuated the aircraft upon landing. Photos from the scene show a helicopter emblazoned with “United States Army” touched down in the field. There is no smoke or obvious visible damage to the helicopter in the pictures.

Police at the scene said there were no injuries, reports said. Additional emergency units initially called to the scene were recalled.
