A Pennsylvania National Guard helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in a field north of Morgantown on Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement from the Pennsylvania National Guard. 

According to emergency dispatchers in Berks County, fire crews and police were dispatched to the 100 block of Moyer Road in Robeson Township about 1 p.m. for an initial report of an aircraft emergency. Additional emergency crews were later recalled after determining that there were no injuries at the scene. 

Robeson Township is about 13 miles northeast of Brecknock Township in Lancaster County.

In a statement sent to LNP | LancasterOnline, a Pennsylvania National Guard spokesperson from Fort Indiantown Gap said two National Guard members were aboard the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter when it made the “precautionary landing” Wednesday. 

“All personnel are safe and there is no damage to the aircraft,” the Pennsylvania National Guard said in their statement. “The incident is under investigation and further details cannot be released until the investigation concludes.”
