SOUTH WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, Pa. – South Whitehall Township’s Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a separation agreement with now former police chief Frank Lombardo.
Lombardo’s last day was officially in late February. He took charge of the department in March of last year and was officially sworn-in two months later.
Captain Steve Brown will be assuming the responsibilities of chief.
The resolution resolves any and all matters and issues related to Lombardo’s employment and separation from employment with the township.
The resolution does not elaborate on the specific issues.
He had replaced previous police chief Glen Dorney, who retired.
He said in the letter that he is grateful to have served the people of South Whitehall Township.
Lombardo goes on to say the relationships formed with the District Attorney’s Office, fire companies and people who live here will serve the agency well into the future.
He said he is proud to be a part of the officers’ success, who he said achieved many great things while he was with the department.
Lombardo writes his experiences here have shaped his professional growth and he will carry these insights into his future endeavors.
We have reached out to the township manager, the president of the board of commissioners, the police department, as well as the former chief and have yet to hear back regarding this separation agreement.
