The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources have announced an official burn ban has been put in place.
During spring the potential for wildfires increases. In accordance with state forest regulations campfires and open burning will not be permitted in Pennsylvania State forests from now until March 25.
State parks and state park campsites will be unaffected by the burn ban.
