ERIE — The Erie Zoo opened to the public Sunday for the start of its 2026 season and will hold its annual grand reopening day celebration Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Admission will be free to visitors all day, zoo officials said, thanks to sponsors. Free breakfast treats, coffee and hot chocolate will be available while supplies last.
