A Middletown Township man who previously worked as a police officer was arrested Tuesday as part of an ongoing drug investigation.
Thomas J. Mee, 47, was arrested by the Bucks County Detectives and charged with manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; criminal use of a communication facility; and possession of a controlled substance.
The Bucks County Courier Times reported Mee worked as a Bensalem Township police officer for 13 years before leaving in 2019 for “personal reasons.”
Detectives said in court papers reviewed by this news organization that Mee agreed to purchase $500 worth of methamphetamine from a person who he believed to be a drug dealer at the Walmart in Hilltown Township.
Mee went to buy the quarter pound of meth and exchanged money for it, authorities said.
