Admission is free Sunday at the Pennsylvania Anthracite Heritage Museum in Scranton and Eckley Miners’ Village in Weatherly, among other historic sites across the state.
Along with special events in Harrisburg, it is a celebration of the 345th anniversary of the founding of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The original charter granted to William Penn by English King Charles II will be displayed at the Pennsylvania State Archives in Harrisburg. It is typically displayed once a year.

There will also be activities at the State Museum of Pennsylvania, also in Harrisburg, in connection with the display “Revolutionary Things: Objects from the Collection.”
