Margery Henderson Peters entered into eternal life on February 28, 2026. She was born in Niagara Falls, Canada, on February 24,1931 to loving parents Henry Joseph Henderson and Helen Anne Rapelje. She often reminisced of a lively and happy childhood with two brothers and three sisters.
Margie graduated from St. Patrick’s, Loretto Academy and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1953 in Hamilton, Ontario. As a nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital, Niagara Falls, New York, she met her future husband Walter K. Peters M.D.. Margie was a very devoted wife for 55 years until his passing in 2012.  A lifelong volunteer, Margie loved God, loved family and loved nursing.Â
Survivors: Daughter, Peggy Peters Cook (Charles), Son, Karl (Ellie Alderfer) and Patricia Peters, the mother of her granddaughters. Margery was a devoted grandmother who adored her grandchildren, Gavin Gillespie Cook, Conor Henderson Cook, Melissa Sheridan Peters, and Erika Peters Darlington (Josh).
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Sts. Simon and Jude Church, 730 Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA, where family will receive relatives and friends from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment at Holy Savior Cemetery is private.  Margery’s services have been entrusted to Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
