De Mujer a Mujer, a special program of the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance (GRCA), is accepting nominations for its seventh annual De Mujer a Mujer Awards.
The awards are a celebration of the diversity of women in Berks and Greater Reading, according to information on the De Mujer a Mujer nominaiton form. The awards will be presented at the organization’s June 11 recognition event.
Community members are encouraged to submit nominations for the awards, which will honor three recipients in the following categories:
• Community Impact Award: Honors a woman who has made a lasting difference through her dedication to service and leadership, demonstrating a deep commitment to the community.
• Young Changemaker Award: Celebrates a promising young woman, ages 18 to 25, who is already making a meaningful impact and shows strong potential to be a future leader in Berks County.
• Small Business Owner Award: Recognizes a dynamic entrepreneur whose business success and community involvement are helping shape a thriving local economy.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 1. Nominations can be completed by visiting www.greaterreading.org/2026mujerawards.
The Process
The nomination must be submitted using the online nomination form and format. It asks for the category of each nominee, as well as information about the nominee — including contact information, job title and company and how long they have been in that position.
The form also asks for contact information for the person making the nomination. It also asks why the nominator is nominating the individual, as well as the nominee’s accomplishments over the past two years that have made a positive impact on the community.
Additional supporting documents, including articles or testimonials, can be submitted with the completed nomination form.
A selection committee made up of community leaders will review all nominations, and the winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on Thursday, June 11.
The completed form should be emailed to Jackie Stiles, jstiles@greaterreading.org. Email Stiles with questions or call 610-898-7785.
The Award Celebration
This year’s celebration on Thursday, June 11, will not only honor outstanding Latina women in Berks County but also will offer attendees meaningful insight and financial confidence, according to a press release.
Abigail Torres and Michelle Leguisamon of Finanta will share practical guidance on building financial knowledge, making empowered money decisions and creating long-term stability.
