A new Wawa will offer free coffee and T-shirts when it holds its grand opening next week in Whitehall Township.

The location will open at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at 1519 Whitehall Mall, a news release announced, with a ribbon cutting at 8:30 a.m.

It’s the 13th of nearly 100 Wawa locations the chain will open this year across 14 states.

The first 100 customers will receive “Wawa Grand Opening Tour in the USA” T-shirts as supplies last, while the free hot coffee of any size will be available through March 15. Like the Wawa that opened last month at the former Brass Rail restaurant in Allentown, this grand opening will feature a hoagie-building competition for first responders.

“As our nation celebrates its 250th birthday in 2026, we’re proud to be a company with more than 200 years in American business, now across thirteen states in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeast and Midwest markets. We are excited to celebrate by opening nearly one hundred stores this year as we spread our wings to reach even more new communities across the country,” Wawa President Brian Schaller said in the release. “Our ongoing growth and expansion allow us to invest in more communities, create new jobs and opportunities for our associates to soar in their careers, and provide meaningful support to more communities.”
