BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — A former Bensalem Township police officer is in custody after authorities said he allegedly bought methamphetamines to sell to someone, court records state.
Thomas J. Mee, 47, of Langhorne, was arrested on Tuesday as part of an ongoing drug investigation, according to a criminal complaint.
Bucks County Detectives said that Mee allegedly made arrangements to buy a quarter-pound of meth for $500, the affidavit of probable cause states.
The complaint states that Mee agreed to meet with an individual whom he believed to be a drug dealer at a Hilltown Walmart, where the exchange took place.
Mee was then arrested on felony charges of drug possession and distribution, criminal use of a communication facility, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, the complaint states.
The amount of drugs seized in the arrest suggests that Mee possessed them with the intent to distribute them, the affidavit stated.
Mee was sent to Bucks County Prison instead of posting $500,000 bail.
