OBITUARY
Marlene L. Walsh, 93, of Andover, New Jersey, formerly of Scranton died at the home of her daughter on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. She was the widow of Paul Joseph Walsh who died in 2003.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Geneva Harlow Gallagher, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School, and before retirement she worked as a bookkeeper for Allen & Bubenick.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. Always putting others above herself, with her true joy in life being her family. Taking every minute she could to laugh with them, support them, hold them, and love them.
Surviving are: son, Paul Michael Walsh and daughter-in-law, Lori of Bethlehem; daughter, Karen Furth and son-in-law, Robert of New Jersey; son-in-law, Fred Seeger of Albrightsville; six grandchildren, Paul Francis Walsh, Erin Fields and husband, Charles, Collin Furth, Kyle Seeger, Sean Seeger, and Kayleigh Furth; four great grandchildren, Ava Panovec, Paul Michael Walsh, Emerald Patricia Walsh, and Charlie Fields; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her son Kevin Walsh, and daughter Patricia Seeger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am at St. Paul’s Church, 1510 Penn Ave., Scranton. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday from 9 am until the time of the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
