LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – Two women have died after their car crashed into Lake Erie at Beaver Park Marina early Friday.
Officers were called to the marina in the 6100 block of West Erie Ave. around 4:15 a.m. for reports of a downed utility pole at West Erie Avenue and Oak Point Road.

At the same time officers arrived on scene, dispatch received calls regarding an 18-year-old male who may have entered a nearby home without permission.
Officers found him and noticed his injuries appeared to be consistent with a car crash.
The victim told officers he was in the back seat of a car driven by a female acquaintance, with another female acquaintance in the front passenger seat, when the car struck at least one utility pole, left the road, and entered the water.
According to police, the male victim escaped through a back seat window, but the two females have not been seen since the crash.
The male victim, whose name is not being released, is being treated at Mercy Health. His condition has not been updated.
Shortly after 8 a.m., the Lorain Police Underwater Recovery Team found the vehicle in the water.
One of the victims was found inside the vehicle and a short time later, the second victim was also located.
Their names have not been released at this time.
Police added the incident remains under investigation.
