WYOMISSING, Pa. – An investigation is underway after a person was struck and killed by a car Friday afternoon in Wyomissing.
It happened around 1:15 p.m. in the 2200 block of State Hill Road.
Wyomissing Police say the victim, 71-year-old Eugenia Polonski of Reading, died at Reading Hospital as a result of her injuries.
The Pennsylvania State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was called in to assist in the investigation.
Authorities say the driver was cited for failing to stop at a STOP sign and was taken to a magisterial district court where they immediately pleaded guilty.
The incident remains under investigation.Â
