PITTSTON, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — With its dazzling yet calming atmosphere, Tea & More is now home to a brand-new spot for tea lovers in Downtown Pittston.
This week, Tea & More opened its doors as the city’s only tearoom, welcoming the community to its enchanting space.
The shop offers a place for friends and families to gather and enjoy an elegant tea experience—along with Bason coffee, sandwiches, and other treats.
With its colorful and inviting tearoom, Tea & More is designed to spark conversation and connection, said owner Judy Passetti. She shared how she turned her passion into reality, bringing her dream to life and revealing the inspiration behind the tearoom.
“Pittston didn’t have a tearoom, and it’s a booming little town. And, I looked for a while, and I just kept coming back to Pittston. I did Victorian Christmas teas for like nine years at a church, and I thought I could do this on my own,” said Passetti.
Lined with painted chairs, hand-sewn tablecloths, artwork, jewelry, and even locally made goods from Summer Hill Botanicals, Passetti said the tearoom has plenty to offer.
“Tea, coffee, scones, fresh made sandwiches. We have a large variety of teas,” said Passetti.
Those hoping to gather around the table for a tea party can make a reservation ahead of time, Passetti said, though the tearoom also welcomes walk-in guests.
“I’ve been getting a lot of walk-ins. But if it’s a large group, a reservation is nice because I’m here by myself,” said Passetti.
With the 12th Annual Pittston City St. Patrick’s Parade set to take place tomorrow, Passetti said the tearoom is opening just in time for the celebration and will be ready to welcome anyone who wants to stop in for a drink or a bite to eat.
“I’ll be here early in the morning, of course. It’s probably going to be chilly, so I’ll have apple cider, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, sandwiches, and if they want soups,” said Passetti.
Tea & More is open Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
