Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a teenager was stabbed overnight in the city’s East Liberty neighborhood. Police were called to Penn Avenue outside of the Target around 2 a.m. Saturday morning. Arriving officers found about 200 young people fleeing the area, where they had been watching vehicles perform illegal burnouts and donuts in the street. Police say that’s when they found a 17-year-old boy who had been stabbed in the back multiple times. He was taken to the hospital, in stable condition. Police say the suspect, a 19-year-old boy, had been punched, kicked, and pistol-whipped by approximately 10 people. He was also taken to the hospital, in stable condition. Police are currently reviewing surveillance video from the area. No arrests have been at this time and police say their investigation is ongoing.
