Severe Storm Threat Advisory Issued For Pittsburgh Area

PITTSBURGH, PA — Be on the lookout if you have outdoor activities planned for Saturday.

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory that severe storms could occur in portions of Western Pennsylvania. Damaging storms are possible in the late afternoon through the early evening.

What is forecast, according to the weather service, are damaging wind, large hail and isolated tornadoes.

The severe weather advisory also applies to eastern Ohio and southern West Virginia.
