Saturday morning certainly felt like spring, just in time for the grand re-opening of the Erie Zoo.
People lined up ahead of the gates being opened at 10:00 a.m.
To celebrate the new season of the zoo, everyone could get in for free.
There was also breakfast treats for families to enjoy as they checked out the animals who were eager for visitors once again.
Erie News Now spoke with families near and far who made the trip to the zoo. One family waking up early and coming in from Ashtabula, Ohio for the grand re-opening.
The Erie Zoo is opened daily from 10:00-5:00.
