The NFL is heading to the new league year. Within a couple of days, the “legal tampering” period will open up, and teams can begin to discuss deals with free agents.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been busy getting their offseason plans together. On Saturday, the Eagles signed their defensive lineman to a long-term extension.

The Eagles have also been exploring the trade of an offensive weapon. That weapon, A.J. Brown, has been at the center of trade talks. He took time to respond to the massive contract extension of Jordan Davis.

Brown is celebrating one of his teammates getting rewarded with a big-money deal. He and Davis both came to the Eagles in 2022 on the first night of the NFL Draft.

Brown has been notably disgruntled and appears to be ready to move on from Philadelphia. Despite this, Brown is still celebrating the achievements of his teammates.

The Eagles reportedly received a strong offer from the New England Patriots that they turned down. The trade could have set Brown up to reunite with his head coach, Mike Vrabel.

For now, the Eagles aren’t too motivated to give Brown the fresh start he desires. He came to Philadelphia after contract negotiations stalled in Tennessee.

On that 2022 draft night, Vrabel visibly showed his frustration when the team traded Brown. Brown could stay with the Eagles, but eventually, you have to think he will want to find his way back to the head coach he admires greatly.
