HAMBURG, Pa. – Three people were arrested Saturday following a police pursuit that began with a reported vehicle theft in Schuylkill County and ended in a crash on Route 61, according to state police. 

Hamburg State Police said a call originally came in at 3:33 p.m. for a vehicle that was stolen from the Auction Time Bid Board parking lot in Schuylkill County. 

Three people were trying to break into other vehicles in the parking lot before landing on the vehicle that was stolen, according to police. 

Upon arrival, police found the car was stolen and the suspects fled the scene south at 3:50 to Hamburg Borough, according to officials. 

Authorities say that troopers found the car near the Cabela’s on Route 61 in Hamburg.
