BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Inside ArtsQuest in Bethlehem, it was A Night Under the Stars on Saturday.

It was a celebration of resilience, hope and transformation at Bethlehem-based Cay Galgon Life House.

The Bethlehem-based shelter helps mothers and pregnant women experiencing homelessness.

“It means a lot to see everyone come together and support the cause,” said Grace Hallman, a former Cay Galgon Life House resident. “When I was pregnant, I was homeless with my daughter and Life House gave us a home and a safe place for me to give birth to raise my daughter,” said Hallman.

The 14th annual gala raises money for the shelter. Four-time Olympian, Joetta was the emcee.

“I’m excited about being the emcee and supporting all the amazing work that they do at the Cay Galgon Life House,” said Joetta.

One of popular parts was the cake auction featuring 30 different designs.

“The money really goes to support the families that we serve in the community,” said Paula Albanese, executive director of Cay Galgon Life House.

She helped organize the gala.

“I hope that they’re just inspired by all the work that it takes for these young women to really overcome these hurdles,” said Albanese.

Every dollar raised goes right back into helping the community.

“I hope that they see they’re making a real difference,” said Hallman.
