OBITUARY
Antoinette C. Donato, 100, of Dunmore, died peacefully Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at the Green Ridge Nursing Home, Scranton. Her husband, Anthony William Donato Sr. died in June, 1989.
Born in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Louise Grecco Coyer and a member of St. Anthony and Rocco Parish, Dunmore.
Antoinette worked as a teller at the Third National Bank, Scranton for many years. She enjoyed her dinner dates with the girls from the bank and watching her grandchildren compete in various sporting events over the years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Her family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Sacred Heart and Hospice Community Care for the care and compassion they showed to Antoinette during her remaining days.
Surviving are two children; Donna Stravinsky and husband Ronald, Philadelphia and Anthony William Donato Jr. and wife Christina Kennedy Donato, Scranton.
Four grandchildren; Randy Donato, wife Marguerite, Dunmore; Allie Cordaro, husband Peter, Moosic; Anthony James Donato, Scranton; and Jennifer Stravinsky, Philadelphia. and four great-grandchildren; Nina, Benjamin, Dean, and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel Coyer.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Albert P. O’Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St., Dunmore with a mass at 9:30 A.M.., St. Anthony’s Church, 303 Smith Street, Dunmore. Interment will be at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Moscow, Pennsylvania. Friends may call Monday at the funeral home from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. all those attending the funeral are asked to proceed directly to the church on Tuesday morning.
