LOWER MERION – New EV charging stations are available in Bryn Mawr.
Recently, Lower Merion Township officials announced the installation of four new public Level 2 EV charging stations, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The charging stations are located in the northwest corner of Municipal Lot #7 in Bryn Mawr, across from the Ludington Library. They were opened last month. The stations feature J1772 plugs and require the FLO or ChargePoint app for use.
Township officials have reserved the four parking spaces where the chargers are located for electric vehicles to charge. Vehicles parked in these spaces that are not actively charging are subject to enforcement. Two of the parking spaces are ADA accessible.
Each of the four Level 2 charging stations is equipped with J1772 plugs, which are compatible with most electric vehicle models. To use the chargers and find pricing information, users must download the FLO app or ChargePoint app or purchase a FLO card.
According to information on the FLO app website, the cost of the chargers is $0.25 per kWh.
